    Not only did they work as hard as men, if not harder, but they were not paid as much. I think things would have been a lot different if women had been treated more fairly at that time. If women were paid better and treated better, I think they would be much happier and more willing to do all their work. Many women in other countries were very important and sought after at this time, with the exception of England. For example, a book called “Women at Work in Medieval Europe” talks about the greatness of women in Europe. The women in this book have done everything a man can do. They were also praised for their hard work. Food professions were women's specialty. “Imagine a beautiful and succulent 15th-century feast including, among the poultry dishes, swete feasaunt, a delicious honey-glazed stuffed pheasant served with a tangy green sauce. This dinner could not be prepared without ingredients from farm workers, market sellers, and imports” (Cosman 82). This statement shows how women were appreciated for their work.
