Essay / The Benefits of Implementing a Homeowners Association
Solution Essay Final Text Buying my first home was a monumental moment for me, but there were so many steps to take. The acquisition was a much bigger process than I ever imagined. I had selection criteria and I felt I met them well. As a mother, I needed a clean and safe environment to raise my daughter; as a first time home buyer I had to do it on a modest budget. I found a small, quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of town; it was a dream come true. It was the ideal family neighborhood. I bought a nice little house on a cul-de-sac, more apartments and more strict guidelines. I had a protected investment and felt in control. I'm not an experienced home buyer, so it's quite possible I missed a few warning signs. My neighborhood is full of rental properties. Neighbors came and went, few with lasting ties. There has been a noticeable drop in property maintenance, as well as morale. If you've ever mistaken the neighbor's house for a garage sale, you know what to do. To protect our investments, residents of the Village of Windsor must organize a homeowners association. The poor maintenance of properties in the village of Windsor is a matter of great concern. Appearance is a key factor in buying or selling a home. Cities establish regulations to try to ensure this, the problem is that these regulations are quite limited and not always enforced. As a result, a property's value can quickly decline. Neighborhood camaraderie helps, but other people's decisions affect everyone. In the absence of pacts, freedoms are unlimited. Your new neighbor may decide to paint their property bright pink with bright yellow trim, and you are the victim. What was once the neighborhood... middle of paper... rings peace and growing morality. All of this is necessary to protect our investments. Setting up a homeowners association is a simple process and hassle is minimal. Homeowners associations have been criticized for having rules and regulations that are too restrictive on homeowners. Overly strict regulations set by the homeowners association can take away residents' rights. This can be easily avoided, in an existing district, since we control our elections. We all face the same problem and we have a workable and effective solution. The establishment of a homeowners association will greatly benefit residents of the Village of Windsor. We have the power to restore the value of our properties and the appearance of our neighborhood. Together this can be easily accomplished and provide a lasting solution.
