I want to read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, her most brilliant novel, because she has composed a timeless and analogous story to anyone who takes the time to read it. As you read this story, you become absorbed by the times, the lives of the characters and you feel like you are living it with them. The novel is set in Longbourn, rural England, sometime during the Napoleonic Wars, from 1797 to 1815. Virtually, the plot of Pride and Prejudice consists of Elizabeth Bennent and Mr. Darcy overcoming all the obstacles that are introduced to them and finding true love in each other.All the characters in Pride and Prejudice are absolutely different, but in a way, they are the same. Elizabeth Bennent, the protagonist, one of the best-known female characters in English literature. Second daughter of the Bennet family, she would be around 20 years old. His honesty, virtue, and keen mind allow him to rise above the absurdity that permeates his class society. She must reevaluate her previous impressions of Mr. Darcy and discover the truth, that she is completely and utterly in love with him. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Elizabeth's male counterpart, son of a wealthy and well-established family and master of the great Pemberley estate. Mr. Darcy appears haughty and proud, this is due to his high birth and his wealth. When Elizabeth rejects his marriage proposal, it reinforces humility in him; for this reason, he shows his true feelings when he saves his sister and her family from disgrace. Anyone who has seen the movie should definitely read the book. Nearly two hundred years after Pride and Prejudice was written, it still remains one of the greatest books of all time.
