Over the years, the cost of tuition has been one of the biggest issues preventing students, like me, from getting the best education possible. Usually, this leads to students settling on a nearby school rather than being able to choose to go to the best one they were accepted into, due to these exorbitant prices. Much of this problem or concern has to do with the fact that out-of-state tuition is much higher than in-state tuition, sometimes almost doubling the price of tuition in the state! As a result, there is greater pressure on students to stay in-state rather than attend out-of-state schools that could offer a better education. It also hurts the economy because lower quality education creates a less educated workforce, which in turn makes the workforce less productive, which causes more economic problems for the general public . In-state tuition should be totally and completely stopped. Ending such price discrimination would be epic and would allow all students to choose the right college with a greater variety of choices, but only if the majority of states adopt such a method of tuition equality. For years, price differences between in-state and out-of-state tuition have always been an issue in determining where many high school graduates go to school. By acting now, we can help our future and current generations obtain an equal and more advanced education. Therefore, this leads to a more productive workforce, which in turn can generate an improvement in the status of the economy..
