My aspiration to pursue dance studies at university stems from years of training and experience. Knowing that there is a story and meaning behind every movement gives me a great sense of dignity, as well as a responsibility to do justice to this art form. Dance has been an integral part of my life since I started taking ballet and tap classes at school. the age of three. Taking regular classes forced me to become disciplined and committed, while still maintaining my initial enthusiasm. I quickly branched out to a wider range of dance styles, including Jazz and Disco Freestyle, as well as additional Pilates classes, to increase my body awareness, coordination and stamina. Taking annual exams with the RAD and ISTD exam boards has developed my knowledge of the program, demonstrating that I am able to work competently under pressure. As a result of consistently high results in my exams, I received a scholarship from my dance studio, allowing me to take additional classes and learn variations on pointe - most recently Coppel's Dawn variation....
