No matter which way we look, the world is developing with an increasing demand for creative and distinctive constructions with solid infrastructure. Chiang Mai, the city I currently live in is no different from the rest of the world, becoming richer in buildings. Seeing the style of the city evolve towards an environment where human intervention is greater made me realize that the shape of society is now in our hands. Along with growing concerns about natural disasters and population growth, I realized that civil engineers play a crucial role in all societies, designing more efficient structures that can ensure safety and happiness, which sparked my interest in being one. Seeing the massive and aesthetic structures of The Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Tower with my own eyes intensified my interest in buildings. Having visited many of my family's construction sites, I have always been impressed by the power of intensive labor, the combined intelligence of civil engineers, and the idea that a basic mix of earth components can be transformed into roads that provide pathways to opportunities....
