Many innocent people were brutally killed for being "witches". Families were broken and friendships ended. The fact that people are blaming friends and neighbors is horrible. It makes people rethink who they can actually trust. Salem has been affected by these trials since 1692. The fact that anyone actually believed this hysteria is beyond belief. It's surprising that it took a year to resolve everything in the first place! Personally, the governor has not really given back to the families who have been dramatically affected. Yes, they received money in the process, but how can money replace your loved one who was killed because of something that was made up? Honestly, there is no way to repay these families for what happened and for the heartbreak they are experiencing. Hopefully nothing this extreme happens anytime soon or in the future.
