According to Goldberg and Goldberg (2012), another weakness is that clinicians who use experiential family therapy focus only on the experiences of family members to arrive at an outcome on the problem. Another weakness is that in experiential family therapy the therapist pushes clients to confront their problems and does not offer a solution. In this therapy, the client is pushed to confront his heir's problems and find answers to his problems, instead of helping him find solutions to his current problem.
