In America, there are 89 guns per 100 people (Moore), so it's safe to say that most people will come into contact with a firearm during their lifetime. But when you do, will you know how to handle the situation? Guns can be deadly if misused or misused. There is a way to reduce unnecessary deaths. Gun safety is an important part of reducing gun deaths and abuse and should be made mandatory in schools. The first step in making gun safety mandatory in schools is finding programs that will teach it. Fortunately, there are many programs that do this. The NRA, which stands for National Rifle Association, has a program that teaches gun safety (Eddie Eagle GunSafe). There is also a program called STAR, which stands for Straight Talk About Risks (Moore), which teaches gun safety. There are also national programs that teach gun safety. The most common is the NRA's Eddie Eagle program. The Eddie Eagle GunSafe program was established in 1988 and has reached more than 26 million children in all fifty states. The program was created by clinical psychologists, reading specialists, teachers, curriculum specialists, urban housing safety officials and law enforcement. This program is primarily aimed at children from kindergarten to 3rd grade. The eagle mascot helps hold their attention and gives them something to remember information. The program can also be taught by anyone, so it can be taught by the same teacher as other subjects. What the program tells kids to do is stop, don't touch, leave the area, and tell an adult (Eddie Eagle GunSafe).
