Abraham, a Jewish prophet, can be accredited as the founding father of Judaism. Today, more than 4,000 years later, Judaism has spread across several continents, to the point that in 1933 there were more than 9 million Jews in Europe alone. However, between 1933 and 1945, two out of three European Jews were targeted and killed in an intentional and well-planned massacre by Hitler and the Nazis, later defined in Raphael Lemkin's book "Axis Rule in Occupied Europe." like a genocide. now known as the Holocaust, was one of the cruelest and most heinous events in documented history. It seems inconceivable that Hitler and the Nazis were able to manipulate the entire German population into murdering their innocent Jewish neighbors solely because of their religion. The German Holocaust was an inevitable event in world history, due to the long history of anti-Semitism, widespread fictional propaganda created by the Nazis, and Hitler's unlimited authority and power over German society . After World War I, David Lloyd George of Great Britain, Clemenceau of France, and Woodrow Wilson of America, known as the "Big Three", created a guarantee to ensure that a repeat of World War I would not occur. not happen again by forcing Germany to sign the Treaty of Versailles on June 28, 1919. This treaty Germany lost valuable land and colonies, as well as a reduced army of 100,000 men, with no submarines or air force . After Germany signed this treaty, a negative chain reaction followed, with commodity hyperinflation in 1923 and the Great Depression in the late 1920s. This led to high unemployment rates and an increase in the percentage of Germans living in poverty. Most Germans allowed themselves to believe the cruel propaganda and racial and evolutionary theories that Hitler used as justification, in order to live with their actions and the reality Hitler had created for Germany. Since most non-Jews were unwilling to risk their lives to protect the Jews from a force they perceived as unstoppable, no one intervened. All of this led to the Holocaust, or the systematic massacre of 6 million innocent Jews..
