Regardless of your position on the topic of abortion, there is no denying that abortion is one of the most controversial debates in the country. This brief overview of the topic will include support for both sides of the argument, pro-choice and pro-life, as well as the morality of the situation. The first side of the argument, which opposes abortion, is called pro-life. In essence, they value the life of the fetus more than the woman's right to choose what to do with her body. For these activists, choosing abortion is tantamount to murder and they are “playing God” by aborting their children. On the other hand, they also believe that abortion is a dangerous procedure and puts the mother in danger (hli.org 3). Anti-abortion leaders say there are alternatives to abortion, such as adoption.
