Fifty years ago, on January 17, 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered his farewell address to the nation. He spoke of the dangers of deficit spending and future planning But the main point made by Eisenhower that made his farewell speech famous was his legitimate concern and warning about the military-industrial complex and its ability to destroy our security and freedom based on research and events. past, Eisenhower was right to do so because of America's needs to succeed and their ability to pay any price to achieve it.
