  • Essay / Alternate Ending to Frankenstein - 1306

The monster took his first breath and opened his eyes. Victor remained paralyzed by fear of his creature. The creature was not at all what Victor expected; He was absolutely hideous. Victor felt a sense of responsibility as the creature's creator and decided to treat the creature as if it were a newborn baby. Victor helped the creature take its first steps and led it to a chair to sit down. "I'll be right back" Victor said to the creature as he went to get him a drink. He showed the creature how to drink and told it that it was called water. Victor kept pointing at the cup of water and saying "water" until the creature finally said it again. Victor spent the rest of the day teaching the creature basic words. Victor was amazed that his creature was capable of learning, let alone learning as quickly as it was. The next morning, Victor woke up to the creature standing over him. Victor jumped out of bed and ran out of the room, completely scared. Victor's initial thought was that his own creation was trying to kill him in his sleep. Victor looked around the corner to see what the creature was doing. He saw the creature sitting on his bed, looking confused and upset. He walked towards the creature, and the creature, in a broken sentence, asked for water and food. Victor felt stupid for thinking his creature would want to kill him. Victor made the creature breakfast and helped him learn how to use a fork and knife. Victor couldn't help but laugh at how funny and abnormally large the creature looked sitting at the table. After breakfast, Victor decided to take the creature for a walk and show it the world. Victor brought the creature out of town before everyone was up and out middle of paper......with Frank and Vicki. Victor suggested that they stay in touch by choosing certain days when Victor and Henry would go to Vicki and Frank's cabin in the woods. In this alternate ending chapter of Frankenstein, Victor does not run away from his problems, but instead decides to tackle his problems. them and doesn't see them as such serious problems. He realizes that he must nourish his creation from the beginning rather than at the end, when it is too late. He accepts the creature and decides to let his closest friend in and accept the creature as well. This chapter includes the gothic and romantic element of the supernatural creatures created by Victor. This also includes the romantic element of love of nature. Frank becomes fascinated with nature during Victor and Frank's walk in the woods, and Frank and Vicki decide to live their lives deep in the woods..
