    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, written by Mark Twain, is a novel read each year by many high school students across America. However, when you have a book this popular in schools, you will start to generate some controversy about it. There has been recurring debate over the issue of banning the reading of this novel in schools due to its "offensive racial epithets" and other reasons, such as mocking religion and challenging authority. I disagree with those who say the novel should be banned and I think schools should continue to read it and ignore those who say otherwise. The main reason people want to ban Huckleberry Finn is the use of the word "nigger". which I will call the N-word. Some seem to think that high school students are not mature enough to reject the use of this word.
