The social institutions topic that I am going to use for my paper is divorce. I chose to write my article about divorce because the divorce rate has increased and is a prevalent social institution in our society. Divorce is a common question and a controversial topic that attracts very different opinions on the subject. Society is influenced by the people around us, which is why a child whose parents are separated is at greater risk of psychological difficulties, because he has not been able to have both parents around him to influence him.
