  • Essay / The life and biography of Mother Teresa: Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu

Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was born on August 26, 1910 in Skopje, the current capital of the Republic of Macedonia. According to Bio True Story, some say that Agnes' real birthday was August 27, 1910. Agnes is said to state that August 27, 1910 was her real birthday, as it was the day she was baptized. Mother Teresa was baptized Catholic in Skopje by her mother and father, Nikola and Dranafile Bojaxhiiu. She was one of three children, Agnes was the youngest child, her siblings were Aga (born 1904), Lazar (born 1907). His father Nikola was a man who often worked hard as a salesman, entrepreneur and medicine trader. He was an ambitious man who bought a house in Skopje. According to Mother Teresa's biography, her father came from a family known as "the most ardent nationalist in Skopje." His mother, Dranafile believed strongly in the Catholic faith, she was also very involved in politics. Mother Teresa sadly lost her father at the age of 8; he fell ill with an unknown illness. Her mother was a very charitable person and Mother Teresa became very close to her mother. An example of Mother Teresa and her mother's charitable ways is that even though the Bojaxhiu family was. poor, they still tended to invite the poorest to a meal, when Mother Teresa questioned her mother about who the people were, her mother would tell her "Some of them are our relatives but all of them are our people". According to Bio True Story, his mother used to tell him, "My child never eats a single bite unless you share it with others." In her own words, Agnes did not give details about her childhood. She simply said “it was a good childhood.” Agnes frequented the middle of paper... the fact that you can't catch leprosy. or HIV through contact so that some people put them in camps isolated from society. Mother Teresa also built many orphanages, so without Blessed Teresa we would have many lonely and homeless children. She was an example of charity to most now. she left, guess what? Fewer notable actions and a lot more crime and people making fun of each other. In conclusion to my essay, I'm quite happy that she was born. .biography.com/people/mother-teresa-950416, accessed 1/3/2014 [http://www.biography.com/print/profile/mother-teresa-9504160]Christopher Hitchens mother dearest http;// ww.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/fighting_words/2003/10/mommie_dearest….Meg greene mother teresa a biography wesport, connectut london green wood publishing. 2004
