Louis Mallard suffered from a heart condition which was taken very seriously by his family members. When the news of her husband's death was announced, her family made sure to tell her the news very sincerely. His family and friends didn't know how to break the news to him. Once she was informed of what had happened to her husband, Louis went up the stairs to let what had happened play out in his mind. She was stunned when she learned Mr Mallard had been in a fatal train accident. She could only think about what would happen to her future without him. She began to think about all the positive things that followed Mr. Mallard's death. However, she thought she was wrong to be so positive in a situation like this. Suddenly a change in circumstances occurred when her husband walked through the door, causing poor Mrs. Mallard to collapse with a heart condition that doctors called "the joy that kills." Where there is good news, there will always be bad news. When Louis Mallard and his family found themselves in a tragic situation, they had no idea of the outcome. The only worry Mrs. Mallard's family faced was that her heart was very weak and they would not take the news very well. She loved her husband, but when she heard the news she felt that she was finally free and could do more than usual, she felt both happy and sad that he was gone . She was a strong woman when she had to think that her husband was no longer going to be there, she thought of everything that was going to happen to him. Mrs. Mallard's sister was very worried when she locked herself in the room, but she only needed time to think.
