Essay / A look in Looking for Alaska, by John Green - 1063
Miles later discovered why she was the way she was and why she smoked, drank, and was madly in love with boys. After her death, he really tried to find out who she was and if her death was a suicide mission or a complete accident. All this time they were friends, stuck in this state of sin and a lot of sadness following the death of Alaska's mother and the only way for her to get out of it was to drink and smoke. Miles said, “I will always love Alaska Young, my crooked neighbor, with all my twisted heart” (218). After a while, Miles was finally able to accept Alaska's death and she is in a better place. He finally knew how she felt, including her mother's guilt.
