    In the play Romeo and Juliet, the multiple traits of many characters led to the tragic ending. Although most of the characters contributed, it was arguably Romeo who did the most harm. He was impulsive and lacked the ability to act in moderation. His puppy love for Rosaline grew into a more passionate love for Juliette, and he couldn't show restraint, especially when dealing with Juliette. Romeo's greatest flaw was his penchant for spontaneous and ill-advised decisions. This was evident when he risked his life by sneaking into the Capulet garden just to pay Juliet a short visit. If Romeo had shown restraint or thought more about his decision, he would have realized that his plan was too risky and would have come up with a better one. Even Juliet knew the risks of Romeo's actions; “And room for death, considering who you are, if any of my kinsmen find you here (2.1.64-65),” Juliet said when speaking to Romeo. Although Juliet loved Romeo, she was much more cautious and rational than Romeo. Romeo's impulsiveness was also evident when he killed his cousin....
