September 11, 2001 was one of the scariest days for the United States of America. Many Americans did not feel safe at home as this was the first-ever terrorist attack on American soil. That day, many courageous Americans stepped up to do their part by helping the injured as much as they could. Many police officers and firefighters lost their lives jumping into the burning towers to try to save as many people as possible. Many nurses and doctors were also on site, working long hours in hopes of saving anyone who could make it out safely. Since that fateful day, Americans still take a moment to remember the day that changed our country and cost many American lives. That day may have been one of the scariest days in our history, but it transformed America to become safer. The government now has incredible technology. As long as the government has probable cause, it can listen to any phone call, review phone logs, text messages and emails. They have also strengthened security at all airports but also in train stations and large cities. New York City has seen the most change since 9/11. They have a few thousand undercover police officers, many of whom are bilingual, cameras throughout the city, security checkpoints, radiation detectors and even a small army (Kramer). New York has many military tactics in place to keep the city, its millions of Inhibitors, and its many daily visitors safe. New York is one of the most populated cities and now the most protected city in America. September 11, 2001 is by far one of the worst days in the history of the United States of America. It all started at 8:45 a.m. when a stolen plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
