Single-parent homesA single parent is a person who lives without a spouse and/or partner. This person assumes all daily responsibilities related to the education of one or more children. Additionally, think of the single parent as the one who solely supports the child, as they are the one who is with the child most of the time throughout their life. Even when it comes to parental separation and/or divorce, children live with only one parent, also known as a custodial parent. While the second parent normally also has visitation from their child. However, in many cases, the second parent either only sees the child occasionally or has disappeared from the child's life completely. Years ago, the death of your spouse/partner was the main reason single parenting became a problem. Children these days are unfortunately raised by children. In today's generation, more and more children suffer from the fact that they only have one parent on whom they can truly count. When parents separate, children may well be affected in several ways. It is essential to remember that the mother is generally the parent in a single-parent family. It doesn't matter whether it was an unplanned pregnancy or the result of a divorce; the mother always wins. Single parent families are becoming one of the greatest social problems plaguing America today. The growing number of single-parent families is increasing year by year. The stress and pressure put on the parent and child never makes things easier. In American society, in 9 out of 10 families, the mother obtains the right to custody of the child (Borris).
