    By examining the beliefs derived from the sacred texts of Christianity and Islam, it has become evident that there is a significant relationship between the beliefs and notions of domestic and world peace within a religious tradition. Inner peace refers to the way in which sacred texts and core teachings structure an individual's quest to achieve personal peace and satisfaction. World peace is also achieved through sacred texts and teachings, but it is about how these teachings contribute to peace domestically and internationally (King, 2009). Through these sacred texts, the main beliefs and organizations of Christianity and Islam, a better understanding of the notions of peace within a religious tradition is ensured. The main beliefs of Christianity and notions of peace are expressed through the sacred text, the Bible, particularly the New Testament. The Quran and Hadiths are the sacred texts of Islam, which also educate the faith with notions of peace. These sacred texts define the origins and characteristics of a religious tradition, thereby providing the general foundation for religious interpretations of peace. Therefore, religion and peace constitute a highly integrated ideology in that the religious beliefs and tenets of a faith provide the basis upon which other notions of inner and global peace can be formed within a tradition religious. Within Christianity, followers are called to display an attitude of peace as they live their lives in accordance with their beliefs and the main teachings presented throughout the Bible. The New Testament is the normative text for all Christians because it is used and understood by all Christian groups as the "primary and fundamental source of tea...... middle of paper...... to achieve the personal peace (King, 2009). The notion of world peace is also widely expressed in Scripture, as followers are commanded to “live peaceably with all men” (Hebrews 12:14) and “live peaceably with other Christians” (Ephesians 4:3). so that everyone can live. in peace and harmony (Noble, 2009). There are several Christian organizations that strive to put these visions into action, with the goal of making the world a peaceful place. These organizations include Pax Christi, the National Council of Churches' Act for Peace campaign, and the Religions for Peace organization, which seek to achieve interfaith unity (Religions for Peace, 2014).
