Over time, political parties began to have less influence than they once did, and the media became more and more dominant. As the media became larger, separate news sources began to focus on different topics or report more on one topic over another. Some news sources focus more on entertainment, some focus on global issues, and some focus on politics in the United States. Looking at different media, it is visible that different forms of news focus on different stories and headlines, and present them in different ways. The first source you can consult is a newspaper, for example the New York Times. Looking through the website, it is easy to see that this journal focuses on many different topics. They have tabs on World, USA, Politics, Technology, Sports, Health, Arts and much more. Although this newspaper covers just about every current topic one could want, its "headlines" always have something to do with the government or politics of the United States. Other stories that appeared on the front page were about Obamacare and a nuclear deal between the United States and Iran. Yes, they make headlines about world news, like the typhoon in the Philippines, but if you just scroll down, a "Supreme Court" story will appear on your screen. The main reason The New York Times and other newspapers are focusing more on government and politics is to direct their news to more effective people. Going out and looking for a newspaper, or reading a newspaper online takes a lot of effort, and shows someone searching middle of paper......t forms of information focus on different stories and headlines , and they present them in different ways. Looking at all forms of media, it is easy to see that by presenting different stories and in different forms, certain forms of media appeal to different types of people. Newspapers try to attract people a little more effectively, TV channels try to attract as many viewers as possible by presenting more entertaining stories, and blogs fall somewhere in between. As the media has become more influential, it has become the connecting institution between politics and citizens. Thanks to this rise, many different forms of media have emerged, each serving a different purpose. The question for the future now is: which form of media will emerge victorious? The newspaper with more information? Or TV channels with entertainment stories?
