Essay / Herman Goering and Erwin Rommel and Hitler - 1967
Many centuries have passed before the eyes of humanity. During these eternal periods, regimes and empires have risen and fallen. These regimes and empires came with fundamental henchmen and supporters, so necessary that without these supporters these empires would have collapsed. Under Hitler's Nazi regime, his acolytes stood by and supported him. While he was in prison, his supporters continued to grow in number until they reached a colossal amount. Even after he came to power, his acolytes continued to support him and never abandoned his beliefs. They managed their own affairs in the divisions to which Hitler appointed them and led the orders that expanded the Nazi regime even though they were not directed by Hitler. These close associates included Herman Goering, Hitler's loyal second-in-command, and Erwin Rommel, a military genius. Hitler's loyal acolytes, Herman Goering and Erwin Rommel, amplified Hitler's influence across the world, winning battles on the war front, supporting his rise to power, and instilling fear among other political opponents and enemies. Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel was born in a humble house in Heidenheim an der Branz, a small town in southern Germany. He was born on the night of November 15, 1891, to his parents, Erwin Rommel (senior) and Helene von Luz. He was the second of four children in the Rommel family. As a young child, Rommel loved machines and engineering. It was said that “he once bought a motorcycle, took it apart, studied its parts and then put it back together” (Simkin). Rommel wanted to pursue his passion and ambition in the field of engineering, but his father, a lieutenant in the artillery, told him not to become an engineer,...... middle of paper...... As Hitler ruled the Nazi empire, many activities and horrors were introduced into the world. The Holocaust, a unique event in itself, was reported to the world. There was a new war that had never been used before. World War II was a war in its own right, a war different from the others that preceded it. But without military strategists like Erwin Rommel, Germany would never have succeeded in conquering North Africa, a giant country, to take over. And without the Desert Fox, which the British and Americans feared, the Allied powers would not have to think twice before launching a counterattack. Without Hermann Goering, Hitler would never have been able to have the SA, a group that supported him throughout his reign and never gave up trust in him. These two people were Hitler's most influential and important henchmen who led to the rise of Hitler and the Nazi empire..
