    Today's modern world may not be exactly like it was in 1984, but some issues are very similar. One of the most compromised issues today is privacy, which in the 1984 book was something people didn't have much of because of things like TV screens. Not only is our privacy compromised, but the government is also being overly controlling. Today, privacy is compromised by things like gaming consoles, phones, social media, and drones. Not only are we compromised by these things, but the government is also taking too much control by compromising our privacy. It seems to be through almost everything technological. it's not safe. Through things like a game console or webcam, our privacy is compromised. Things that you would never expect to be a problem can be. It's a bit like Winston and Julia, just when they thought they could do their private business above Mr. Charrington's shop, that wasn't the case.
