    Timber Hawkeye is the author of Buddha Boot Camp. Timber is a very spiritual man of Buddhism and wants to create happiness in all public eyes. Timber earned a degree in religion from an unknown university. He has traveled to many spiritual destinations (Facebook). One of the most famous and well-known places he has traveled is to see the Tibetan Lama (also known as the Buddhist Guru). Timber explains how he asks, “With all due respect, I don’t believe the Buddha ever intended for his teachings to become THIS complicated!” » (p. 7). The Tibetan Lama then said, "The Buddha didn't do that! Tibetan culture did it; that's their way. Why don't you try Zen? I think you'd like it!" (page 7). Since then, Timber created a new vision for his life and began to be grateful for everything that prospered in his life. After visiting the Tibetan lama, Timber realized the meaning of life. He started traveling more and prospering more (buddhistbootcamp). Timber later wrote a book recalling his life experience and what his outlook on life was called Buddhist Boot Camp. "Speaking of implementation, Buddha Boot Camp sold over 1,000 copies in its first month of publication, teachers share it with their students, therapists prescribe it as medicine, and educators adults give the book to inmates who really want to change their lives around” (Lulu). being grateful (Buddhist boot camp). Growing up, Timber lived in a home of non-acceptance. His father had a negative outlook on life. Timber was gay and grew up in a home where his father was not accepting. his writing. He teaches how to be happy through the teachings of Buddha. Timber explains that we must perceive life in the right way. We must always take into account the situation in which we find ourselves. Whether it's a job, a marriage or a friendship, you have to know when to walk away. “Buddhism teaches us to be tolerant and accepting, but tolerance does NOT mean accepting what is harmful” (p. 83). He also says, “Success means being happy, and no one deserves to hate what they do for a living. So love yourself enough to choose happiness every time, and you will be the most successful person in the world! (p. 83). One can clearly understand that if something or someone in life directs them towards a dangerous path, they should free themselves from it. Timber believes that the concept of “walking away” can take the pain out of many situations in life. (p..83).
