Essay / My Take on the Nature vs. Nurture Debate
Introduction: Many people may argue that the way we are raised determines our personality, and on the other hand, many people may say the opposite. I would say that personality does not come from the way we were raised. Background: The idea of nature versus nurture can be applied here due to the fact that a person can be raised in a home of drug addicts and become an addict after being nurtured. However, this same child may be the special student at school and not be a drug addict, which would be due to nature, because the child sees that he does not want to be affiliated with the same thing whose family was part. Personally, I grew up in a very religious family that smoked and drank; however, I am not religious in any way, I am comfortable with my homosexuality, and I do not drink or smoke. There are spontaneous events that accompany a child's growth, including the acquisition of speech. Yes, the way we raise a child can affect the way they speak and the way they think. Evidence and Citation: If a child is raised in an unhealthy environment, it affects his or her growth physically and mentally. You don't want a child to grow up and take care of you instead of you taking care of them. Many say that if a child lives in an unhealthy home, then they will be more likely to be affiliated with the same. Comment: This may be true, however, I would like to think about this whole situation from another aspect. What if the way we raise a child does not affect their personality but rather their learning ability or the way they learn. Which is true in many cases, personality is one of many traits created by our brains. Topic sentence: In all aspects of human life, our main interaction is with nature, however, nurture and nature are closely related and therefore cannot be separated. No matter how hard we tried, the way we were raised made us who we are today, whether in a negative or positive way. Evidence and Citations: Several examples can attest to the fact that these scenarios are the key elements of human progression and are also linked. For example, there is some debate about academic achievement as to whether there is a genetic modification that ensures the success of others or whether environmental factors are the determinants of academic excellence. The truth is that it will be almost impossible to blame either factor as a contributor to a given behavior, but the common view is that both contribute equally to our behavior. Topic Sentence: While on the other hand, we can see the education side because that side also has a point that can be precise. There are many ways to determine that someone is a "nurtured baby," as a person lacking affection may become introverted and withdraw from others. Comment: And this basically shows that human beings depend to a very great extent on these two factors to develop according to the expectations of the world. Evidence and Citations: Historically, intelligence was thought to be generated by genetics rather than exposure to an appropriate environment. This caused much controversy,.
