Essay / The Genius of the Armenian Genocide - 648
The Armenian Genocide can be called a very controversial subject. Many claim that the massacre of the Armenians was considered a genocide. On the other hand, many people, including Turks, deny to this day that the event was a genocide. The Turkish government deliberately intended to isolate and destroy the Armenians. They had an organized plan to carry out these massacres and the actions of the Turkish government can be seen as a destruction of Armenians, not just their murder. This was done so that Armenians would be left without leaders and would be forced to make their own decisions to decide what is good for them. All the Armenian children who remained there learned to become Turks. After the genocide, Armenians, especially children who survived, were placed in orphanages. They were then brainwashed and raised to become Turks. Since the Young Turks wanted to get rid of the Armenians once and for all, the children left behind were told that they were Turks so that they would not know or forget their Armenian origins...
