Essay / Some aspects of architecture - 1428
The subject of architecture is sometimes considered boring. Many buildings we see are simple in structure and design. There is nothing particularly special about the appearance of a simple house or government building. In fact, many of us think that anyone can be an architect. We ignore the rich history of architecture. We also largely ignore the amount of education, planning, or intelligence it takes to be an architect or design a building. Many also fail to take into account that architects are not only responsible for simple structures, like houses and libraries, but also for excessive structures, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower, and the Sydney Opera House. . These structures, and many others, are breathtaking visions, designed by supposedly boring architects. Without forgetting that architects earn a good living. Although at first glance architecture may seem boring or listless, it is actually very interesting. Many elements of history came together to create the company. The Sumerians brought mathematics, a calendar system and written language. The Mesopotamians invented irrigation. The Greeks gave democracy to the world. Architects, without any particular origin, gave a place to live to all these brilliant people. Although the other contributions are important, shelter arguably outweighs all of them because, depending on the climate, without shelter everyone would die. The need for buildings arose from a need for survival; humans were not designed to systematically survive outdoors. As society grew and became more formal in nature, buildings and the craftsmanship to create them became more of an art form. This is how we came to know architecture. What was once strictly a means of survival has become a means... middle of paper... often very difficult and interesting. Architecture is important because we all need shelter; it is a basic human need. Architects also need a lot of training to design even the simplest home. It's not something just anyone can do. Many architects throughout history have designed monuments and buildings that will forever be remembered for their efforts, proving that architecture is anything but mundane. If the complexity surrounding it, the education required, and the occasional accolades received for their work are not enough to convince an individual that architecture is important, they need only look further than the salary of a architect.
