The following proposal consists of five parts that summarize our objectives and sources for our evaluation of the research essay:1. The general topic we have selected is ethnicity and race.2. This broad topic was then divided to focus primarily on the level or quality of health care received by people in particular racial and ethnic groups and how this may differ, provided a difference is noted between these groups. For the purposes of this essay, the concept of health care refers to both medical and psychological health care.3. The research topic we will examine is: What factors drive health care disparities between racial and ethnic groups in public hospitals in Trinidad? • Is there really a connection between health care disparities? health care and race and ethnicity in Trinidad? • What measures can be put in place to alleviate health care disparities between racial and ethnic groups in Trinidad? • How can the levels of ethnic and racial disparities do they affect the quality of health care in Trinidad?4.
