In Emerson's essay on "Self-Reliance", Emmerson raises many points about how we should act. For example, Emmerson strongly believes that we should all believe in our own ideas rather than following the path of others. Emmerson emphasizes that we should not do what others want, but rather do what pleases us. Also in Hobbes' article "Leviathan", he explains the survival of the fittest. This is about how I should act because, as Hobbes explains, government helps control this by providing protection and order.
