    For example, always do your best and never settle for anything less than your best. I was one of those kids who didn't apply myself to the best of my ability and look where I am now, in classes where people struggle to complete even the simplest tasks. Now I'm not talking about all of you, we are all intelligent in different ways, but it's very possible that some of you will never know it. But not all my classes are like that. There is one teacher who really pushed me to become a much better student, and that was Mr. DeMarco. Over the past two years, I have completed an undergraduate degree in anatomy and physiology, as well as AP Biology. For 75% of my time taking these courses, I maintained a barely passing average. Contrary to what was expected of me in this class, during the last semester my grades showed consistent A's. This improvement makes me think of two things. 1. It disappoints me to know that if only I had received this miracle for my grades earlier, I could have done much better than before, and 2.
