  • Essay / My motivation for studying photonic systems

Since my childhood, I have always aspired to a life of fulfillment in the field of engineering, right from my secondary school years when I was introduced to optics in physics. I always pay considerable attention to the smallest details of my education so that my knowledge continues to increase gradually. At different stages of my personal development and career, I tend to set well-defined goals for myself so that I can have a sense of accomplishment each time the goal is achieved. The MASc will give me the opportunity to have a good basic knowledge of photonics and its wide range of applications, to learn more about optical fiber sensing, manufacturing methods, silicon-based photonics and prepare myself for a doctoral program in the same field which is my primary objective by following this second Master's degree, which I hope to accelerate if possible. At present, I have formulated a new goal: to update and enrich my knowledge in photonic systems by seeking another master's program in the Department of Electronics at Carleton University. I am convinced that such a program will not only constitute an important step in my quest for academic excellence but also professional excellence. With all this, I should be able to fit into various sectors ranging from oil and gas, aerospace, infrastructure, biomedical, automotive and communication. Say no to plagiarism. I have every confidence to begin your challenging program as I have already acquired a solid academic background through my graduate program in laser measurement technology at the department. of Laser Measuring and Navigation Systems of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University, undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering and Technologies at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Systems Technologies of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University . My 6-year combination program made me competent and increasingly interested. in photonic systems. Basic courses and topics like Electronics and Microprocessor Technology, Digital Circuit, Analog Circuit, Industrial Electronics, Signal and System taught me to proceed with a basic concept, from which generalize a principle, leading to methodology and technology. Courses such as optoelectronics, wave optics, and mathematical modeling exposed me to the underlying principles governing various approaches. The more advanced courses in fiber and integrated optics, laser technique, laser systems and applications, laser measuring systems, laser technology and fiber optics have led me to the development of world-leading technologies and research. Then, my industrial practices, interdisciplinary projects and final research work allowed me to improve my practical abilities, real-time applications and research capabilities. Due to my undergraduate academic performance, I received a scholarship from the Russian government to study a master's program in Russia. . Other honors include the Outstanding Leadership Award and the Best International Student Award. Additionally, I served as president of the student chapter of SPIE at my university (the International Society for Optics and Photonics). SPIE is a non-profit company that advances light-based technologies. . I formed this society for the first time in my university, between August 2017 and June 2018, of which I was president, our local chapter has implemented many.
