Critical thinking is the ability to examine and evaluate thinking with the goal of improving it. This involves thinking carefully, with clarity, precision, depth, accuracy and logic. Critical thinking involves the process of thinking in a particular way. Critical thinking is the practice of thinking clearly, precisely, and diligently; to think carefully, with reason and depth; and to think open-mindedly, studying points of view and recognizing assumptions and biases within a given point of view. Thinking critically exposes us to examining and evaluating ideas against what we already know and thus making decisions about their value. A critical thinker tries to defend an objective position and attempts to compare all sides of an argument and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, critical thinking skills involve: vigorously researching all sides of an argument, testing the reliability of claims made, and testing the accuracy of evidence used to support claims. Since a critical thinker is objective, he or she is expected to have an open mind. Questioning is the basis of critical thinking because it allows you to move forward with basic information. A critical thinker becomes a vigorous examiner by asking questions (Moore et al. 2007). I have been confronted with various life experiences that have forced me to apply critical thinking techniques. A notable example is from my teaching career. During my first year of teaching at a local college, I was faced with a dilemma and had to think critically. I had to make the decision to pass a learner who had not attended my classes and did not do the necessary homework and put him on a graduation list. A pair of us...... middle of paper...... smooth driving experiences that are of significant use at their older ages. I think the above argument should be strongly developed as it exposes children to real-life experiences at an early age, thereby creating a platform for them to become competent drivers in the future, and therefore a possibility of reducing road accidents. The above evidence is enough to make a conclusive decision that the driving age should not be set at 18, as it looks at the different options that can best solve the problem and looks for the better side of the coin, The deciding factor in my opinion is age. the difference doesn't matter when it comes to driving, but what really matters is the experience, both for minors and adults. In my opinion, this study moves towards critical thinking because it thoroughly evaluated the possible consequences if minors under the age of 18 were denied the right to drive..
