Essay / Education and Skills Needed to Become a Physicist
At present, science has become an important role in our lives. From gravity to cloning, we can attribute many ordinary things in life that we know and understand today to science. Physicists study the structure of matter, space and time. An example of a physicist would be Einstein or Newton. This article will discuss the education needed to become a physicist, the skills physicists need, the income and benefits/risks of the job, and my qualifications. The training of a physicist can begin at any age, although it is primarily focused on high school and above. All one needs is creativity and curiosity to dedicate themselves to their journey, which one can get as an imaginative child. From there, Dr. Michio Kaku says the physical learning begins. In high school, he thinks the best opportunities lie in physics books and science fair projects. (1) These practices introduce the basics of physics. If necessary, an interview with a physicist can allow you to devote your passion to the profession. Basic math knowledge is required, so calculus and other math classes will make the trip easier. Additionally, good grades throughout all four years of high school as well as high SAT scores contribute to admission to top schools. In college, the best option is to stay there for all four years. In their sophomore year, students typically must choose a major to focus on, and that's when "aspiring physics majors should start thinking about doing (a) experimental physics or (b) theoretical physics and to choose a specific field” (“Kaku 1”). After that, you will need at least a bachelor's degree to become a physicist. Obtaining a bachelor's degree takes approximately four years. A master's degree and above is necessary to do field research or become a professor, which......middle of article......fm>.
