    First, unlike many of Eminem's other songs, this song was a very serious song for him where he expresses his anger towards his mother. Throughout the song, Eminem speaks with an angry tone as he talks about how his mother raised him and the type of mother she was. He begins the third verse by saying that the information about his mother is not done to attract public attention, but that he is putting it out there so that people can understand the upbringing he received. He uses a lot of profanity when talking about her and wishes bad things on her out of anger because he remembers her childhood and he only remembers bad memories. Additionally, Eminem portrays hatred towards his father for abandoning him and his mother. He wishes for death and says he doesn't even want to think about how he left. He shows his audience that his father is a coward. Additionally, Eminem interprets his situation to his audience using sarcasm. He apologizes to his mother in the chorus of the song, but also tells the world what a bad mother she was. He apologizes for hurting her and making her cry, but explains how he feels towards her by expressing the syndromes she left him with.
