  • Essay / Ethics and sport: whose ethics, which Ethos - 1126

In the last section of Milan Hosta's article, he returns to his theory of sport. It seems Hosta is revisiting how sport can take over an individual. There is no clear sign that this is what he is saying but does mention solipsism. Solipsism is only knowing your own point of view and nothing else matters. This is the philosophy of sport. You feel an emotional attachment and you may not know how to leave it. Sport does not define an individual. There is more to someone than just the look of the sport. The philosophy of the sport is what creates this attachment. Hosta ends his article and you don't get any clear argument he is trying to prove. The author puts a lot of information and difficult word choices into his article. He also has poor organization, so at the end of this article you don't have enough choice to choose his side.
