    There have been so many practices and games where I asked myself, "Why am I here?" » “Why do we have to do this?” But as my athletic career evolved, I noticed that most of the tough games I played didn't come down to physical ability, but mental toughness. Golf, some people may think it's not even really a sport, but I started golf in second grade and it frustrated me more than anything in the world. It may not be a physical sport, but the mental toughness needed to play and play well is the hardest part of golf. One day I can hit a ball 320 yards straight down the fairway, and the next day I'm hooking the ball 150 yards into the woods. I learned in golf that no matter how good my last shot was, I can't get angry. Getting angry at golf only makes my score worse. Golf is not a game in which I can express my anger at something or someone like football and hockey. This is the biggest mental chest match and the opponent is yourself. As a senior, I now understand the patience and mental toughness it takes to play golf. Being mentally strong helps you hold back your emotions more
