JK RowlingThe famous author Joanne Rowling, known as JK Rowling, was born on July 31, 1965 in Bristol, England. (JK Rowling) Her family consisted of her father Peter James Rowling, her mother Anne Rowling and her sister born two years later, Dianne Rowling. Her parents were very good parents and took good care of her and her sister. They lived in a very suitable environment. They moved twice when they were children. Joanne is said to have been a very imaginative young girl, often imagining things and playing fantasy games. Both of her parents were avid readers, and in her early years Joanne had many books, including fantasy stories, read to her. Rowling's family moved to a place called Winterbourne. She and her sister became friends with two close children, a brother and sister named Ian and Vikki Potter. (Personified) She admits to never having any major struggles as a child that affected her, but she remembers her classmates calling her Rowling Pin. The extracurricular activities she participated in had nothing to do with sports as she said she didn't like them very much but loved anything to do with English. His interest in writing began around the age of 5 or 6. In high school, her favorite class was unsurprisingly English and that’s when she knew she wanted to continue her education and pursue a university degree.
