Essay / Analysis of The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart
“The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart”1) The story “The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart” is about a 17-year-old girl named Natalie Stewart leaving New York. with his friend Jonathan, 18 years old, to seek answers. At the very beginning of the story, the story takes place on a train. Natalie and Jonathan are on the run from supernatural demons, spirits and ghosts that seem to follow them wherever they go. At the very beginning of the story, Jonathan and Natalie are introduced as cousins. They pretended to be cousins, so no one would suspect him of being the kid who killed his family. A few hours on the train and people started to recognize him. He noticed this and switched from his English accent to a New York accent. He reassured them that he was not Lord Denbury, even though he was. At the next stop, they thought about finding a better disguise for him. The next train dropped them off in front of his old lab/home. Where his body had been separated from his soul and replaced by a demon. Than where his soul was placed in a painting and shipped. When they arrived there, Jonathan assured his former roommates that Natalie was nothing more than one of his patients, who couldn't hear or speak. At first, Natalie was angry and felt quite insulted as she thought, "Why would he say I can't speak like I can't speak for myself?" What was it about me not being smart enough to have my own opinions? I also don't understand why he says I can't hear. So what do they have too many secrets that I can't hear? but the more Natalie thought about it, the more she thought there MUST be an explanation for cutting her off and changing her name, calling her Mrs. Rose. She didn't understand anything about it. When Jonathan had finally explained to him that there were a lot of people... middle of paper... let's get it over with.2) "The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart" means the madman, the madman. , the twisted events that happened in this story are all surrounded by Natalie because she is the cause. Natalie always ends up getting involved when it doesn't just affect her and the people around her. Natalie understood that she was at the center of the problems. Natalie was the cause and solution to these tragedies that were happening to the people around her. 3) This story seems to take place in the early 1900s, late 1800s. I know this because a guy named Jonathan had to ask permission for the father to marry his daughter. The women in this story also had to wear dresses and corsets at all times. Girls also didn't have many rights and boys stayed in school longer than girls. The genre of this story is gothic literature, I know the demons, ghosts and spirits that take place in this story..
