    After college, I moved back to the Bay Area. It was my junior year in high school when I took my first Advanced Placement (AP) class and I got the surprise of my life. I took the course, not because I wanted to, but because it was required of me. It was in this class that I was assigned a teacher who exceeded the standards of a great teacher. From the beginning of the course, he worked to build some sort of relationship with each individual in the class. We were encouraged to create a sense of community within the class. This sense of community allowed us as students to learn from each other and created a feeling of importance in the classroom. This teacher showed me that we all have something to offer. He not only showed us what we were capable of, but he also motivated us to surpass our past achievements. It was in this class that I learned that there were no limits to what I could
