E- BusinessNowadays, information systems have been extended to our daily use in professional life because, in the information age, every activity of our daily lives requires people to get involved in the use of information systems. It is very important to have a basic understanding of information system and technology in the field of business because information system has become an integral part of our daily business activity like marketing, operations management , finance, accounting and any other business function. Information systems and technology are fundamental elements for success in business and organization. They are a business imperative because they are an important area of study in business administration and management. Moreover, if we understand information systems and their function, first of all we must be clear about the concept of a system. According to (O'Berien & Marakas, 2010, p. 4) "A system is a set of interdependent components, with a clearly defined boundary, working together to achieve a set of common objectives", the simple definition of information system is as simple as it gets. components and resources needed to deliver information, goals, and tasks to the organization. Information system can be any organized combination of communications network, people, hardware, software, retrievals, transformations, data resources, and policies and procedures that store and disseminate information in an organization. Information technology, including Internet-based information systems, foresees an important and growing business role.
