Essay / Essay on population aging - 1100
“The proportion of people aged 65 and over increased by 47% between 1974 and 2014, while the number of elderly people represents almost 18% of the population total in 2014 in the United Kingdom. » (ONS, 2015), this means that population aging could change the age structure of the UK population and the number of retirees could increase. (2009) considers that there are few young people to accompany the rapid growth of older people due to the increase in lifespan.
