    In both situations, the goal is to reinforce desirable behaviors and eliminate undesirable behaviors. The differences are that in education we often focus on a big picture view of behaviors that will not only affect one child, but the entire classroom community. Educators primarily focus on positive reinforcement and immediate feedback to achieve the best results. In behavioral therapy, we often work with individuals and the bad behaviors that affect their lives. It usually takes longer to produce positive results.
