Essay / The historical characteristics of William Shakespeare...
This line is very ironic. Macduff says she won't be able to handle the news of what happened. He says this should not be repeated. But what he doesn't know is that she was part of the murder. She planned it and contributed to it. She already knows about the murder. Act III: Banquo suspects Macbeth of the king's murder. Macbeth then feels threatened by him and hires criminals to kill Banquo and his son. In the act, his son runs away and runs away. Macbeth then hosts a dinner party and sees Banquo's ghost and begins to panic. Lady Macbeth covers this up by saying that he is simply ill. Macduff does not show up because he has gone to England for help because he suspects Macbeth. I am in the blood to such an extent that, if I do not wade any more, the return would be as tedious as leaving. In this line, Macbeth thinks he is in trouble. He doesn't know what to do next. He is so consumed by the guilt of the murders that he cannot see clearly what to do next. He then decides to go see the witches to find out more.
