The main objective of biology in tenth grade academic science is to teach students the functions of cells and different parts of the human body. Overall, the biology unit is very interesting and a very fun concept to gain knowledge. Although students learn about many different areas in biology, only a few have been very beneficial to my learning. These strands include diffusion and osmosis, [see Appendix A] the cell cycle and mitosis, [see Appendix B] and finally information about cancer cells. [see appendix C] To begin, the first thing that will be discussed is the diffusion and osmosis aspect. First of all, one of the most interesting and knowledgeable areas of biology is diffusion and osmosis and how they work.
