  • Essay / Injustice In Plato's Republic - 1556

Art strays from the truth by being three times removed from the truth, by providing immoral guidelines and suggestions to individuals, and by portraying God in a negative light. These implications can have a disastrous effect on society and lead to the moral injustice of an ideal state if such art is introduced into the state. On the other hand, there is an art that can be allowed to achieve the ideal state if it teaches and positively affects the moral sense of citizens and leads to rational thinking and suggestions. Finally, art can only lead to a just society if it leads to exponential rational processes in an individual's soul and must be kept outside the ideal state if art imitates or attempts to only affect the emotional side of the individual.
