I am very proud of myself for going back to school and graduating, but with that excitement comes many bouts of worry. What started as pure excitement led to many days and nights of worry. I have asked myself these questions several times. What were you thinking when you were going through a mid-life crisis? I had a good life. Well, it was a comfortable life anyway. This included a job I had held for seventeen and a half years. Insurance for me and my children that wasn't really expensive. Still, I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to realize my lifelong dream: working with children. I already started this journey once, but then I decided to get married. I took a job at the courthouse and fell into this daily routine. This journey lasted for many years, but I always wanted more. Then one day I thought about going back to school and finishing my degree. I could finally live my dream. I already had an associate's degree, so hopefully it won't take me long. I decided to go back to school. The search was on. What university could I attend that would allow me to maintain my current schedule? I came across WGU. It was absolutely perfect. I had found a university that would allow me to continue working while earning my degree. I would apply for financial aid, continue working, and start repaying the loan once I was done. I knew it would be very difficult. It would be difficult to hold down a full-time job, take care of a family, and do all the required homework. It would be difficult, but I was willing to make sacrifices to finally finish my studies and work somewhere that would bring me happiness. I love working with children and looked forward to doing it every day. He...... middle of paper ......s. I can't wait to reach this goal and start helping my husband provide for our family again. I continue to move towards my goal. I feel a great accomplishment in having made it this far. WGU has provided me with such high standards to go out and make students stronger learners. I believe WGU has made me a highly qualified leader. The university has provided me with the knowledge to ensure that students achieve the best of their abilities. Even though there are bumps in the road, I feel confident and highly qualified because of what WGU has instilled in me. I have been tentatively accepted into the January 2014 cohort and can't wait to begin this journey. It gives me great pleasure to know that I have come this far. WGU has provided me with the acquired knowledge and teaching styles that I can use to become an accredited teacher..
