Franklin PierceI did my essay on Franklin Pierce, because of everything he had to go through before, during and after his term as president. During his life he had a lot of problems. He had three children, each of whom died during childhood. He became the fourteenth president at the age of forty-nine and served one term until the age of fifty-three. While president, he passed the Kansas-Nebraska Act which allowed much of Nebraska to become its own state.
