Essay / An essay on Adolf Hitler - 802
Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in the Austrian town of Braunau am Inn. He was the fourth in a family of six children, all belonging to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. Hitler was baptized a Roman Catholic. After being enrolled in school, young Adolf excelled in school, promising a bright future. When it came time to decide which high school he would attend, Hitler dreamed of becoming an artist, but Hitler's father wanted him to follow in his footsteps as a civil servant. While at the technical high school in Linz, Austria, Hitler struggled and was held back for his first two years. While failing at school, Adolf learned one thing: his newfound admiration for German nationalism. When he was 13, Hitler's father died, leaving him in charge of the family. He stayed in school, but he still struggled. Now that his father was no longer there to force his life as a civil servant, Hitler became interested in art again. He left technical school to become an artist. However, Hitler's mother was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Hitler was conflicted with his choices, whether to pursue his dreams of becoming an artist or to stay and care for his mother. Hitler decided to withdraw all his savings and move to Vienna, where every October an entrance exam for admission to an art school was held. Unfortunately, he failed the exam and his mother lost her battle with cancer. Now Hitler was parentless and homeless, sleeping on benches in Vienna. Struggling to find work and stay alive, Hitler perished. His life was at an impasse as news of a possible world war loomed. After the war began, Hitler found a new home in the trenches of the battlefields fighting for Germany. Hitler enlisted in a Bavarian regiment, a regime...... middle of paper ......th committee consisting of seven members, including Hitler. To gain members, Hitler sent out invitations and publicized monthly party meetings. However, few or no one came to these gatherings. Hitler, however, did not lose hope. The party placed an announcement in the newspaper about its next meeting, which would be held in a beer cellar that could accommodate around 100 people. Much to their disbelief, the meeting attracted a crowd of over a hundred people. Hitler was scheduled to speak second at the rally. When he came to speak, everyone was impressed by the quality of his words. “The people in the small hall were electrified and the enthusiasm was first expressed by the fact that my appeal to the self-sacrifice of those present led to the donation of three hundred marks.” This money was then used to help spread the message. of the German Workers' Party.
